The contract covering the delivery of 45 cockpit cooling systems for HÜRKUŞ, the indigenous and national basic trainer aircraft developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), was signed at the IDEF 2025 Fair.
Leveraging its engineering expertise and manufacturing infrastructure in the field of environmental control systems, TASECS has transitioned the cockpit cooling systems developed for the HÜRKUŞ program into serial production. These systems, which enhance pilot comfort and flight safety, ensure the reliability and continuity of training flights, particularly under hot climate conditions.
The cockpit cooling system developed for HÜRKUŞ has been designed with a platform-specific architecture consisting of two evaporators, one condenser, and one compressor, and has been manufactured entirely through indigenous engineering capabilities with all main and sub-components. The system has undergone verification and performance testing within the test infrastructure established by TASECS, and its compliance with international military and civil aviation standards has been certified.
With the signing of this contract at IDEF 2025, TASECS continues to contribute to Türkiye’s objectives of reducing external dependency in aviation, while strengthening the Turkish defense and aerospace industry through the solutions it has developed for strategic projects such as KAAN and GÖKBEY.
